Henry Christian (ca. 1862-?) and Charlotte Christian (ca. 1871-1914)
At this time, very little is known about the Christian family. Henry Christian, the son of Henry and Leticia Christian, was born around 1862 in Hampton, Virginia. Charlotte Washington, daughter of Thomas and Susan Washington, was born around 1871. Henry married Charlotte Washington on 7 April 1888. According to U.S. Census records, the couple had at least seven children: Thomas Christian (1892-1932), Emma Christian (1891-?), Chester Christian (ca. 1893-1980), Virginia Christian (1895-1912), Irene Christian (Simpkins) (ca. 1902-1982), Purcell Christian (ca. 1904-?), and Henry Christian (ca. 1907-?). Charlotte Christian died on 2 February 1914. The cause of death was paralysis.
