Dr Thomas Stewart of Dinwiddie was twice married by his first wife he had 3 sons & only one daughter - she was named Nancy & married Wm Stewart who was called Sonky Billy Stewart - and they died in Mecklenburg about 1820. Dr. Alex S. Field became his admor & is now dead. Nancy Stewart had 9 children - to wit Betsy1 Stewart never married lives in Mecklenburg. Hannah 2 Stewart - also lives in that county - Rebecca 3 Stewart married Anthony [Chasons?] he is dead & she lives in Stokes County No. Carolina -

Nancy 4 Stewart married Thos: Spence who died in Tennessee where she now lives - Dicy 5 Stewart married Mat Stewart & they live in Granville No Carolina - Jordan 6 Stewart lives in Chatham County No Carolina - Peter 7 Stewart moved from Richmond to Mississippi he's probably dead. Chas: 8 Stewart died in Mecklenburg about 1830. left widow & 4 children. Griffin 9 Stewart died intestate in Mecklenburg about 1831 - never married.

Dr. Thos: Stewart's oldest son was named James Stewart and died in Tennessee about 1820 - he left several children his oldest son was named Thos: Stewart & died intestate in Lunenburg county about 1830 no admor - left 6 children to wit - Anderson 1 Stewart Branch 2 Stewart James 3 Stewart Delia 4 the wife of Wm Chapman - these 4 now live in Lunenburg. Haley 5 Stewart died in Lunenburg about 1831 having sold his interest to Anderson Stewart - Sally 6 Stewart never married died intestate in Lunenburg in 1847 -
