Q 4 How many slaves did Zadock Nock have in his employment in the year 1860, and what were their names?

Ans: He generally had 3 and sometimes 4 field hands, and generally 2 women in the house. I dont know that I can tell their names.

Q 5 Can you say that you know of your own knowledge that Zadock Nock had no slave employed on his farm in the year 1860 except those belonging to him?

Ans: I have no recollection of it. I think he had a white man hired by the month in the year 1860 or 1861.

Q 6 How many slaves did Zadock Nock have in his employment in the year 1861, & what were their names?

Ans: He had some negro women that worked out, Eliza was one, but I dont know how many he had. Their names are not on my mind.

Q 7 Can you say that you know of your own knowledge that Zadock Nock had no slave employed on his farm in the year 1861 except those belonging to him?

Ans: Not to my recollection.
