THE Commonwealth of Virginia to the Sheriff of Prince Edward county greeting: We command you to cause William Matthws to appear before our Justices of our County Court of Prince Edward,at the courthouse of said County, on the third Monday in May next, to answer us of and concerning those things of which he is presented, and have then there this writ:Witness Francis Watkins, Clerk of our said Court, at the court house , the 30th day of March 1808 in the 32nd year of the Commonwealth.
