THE Commonwealth of Virginia to the Sheriff of Prince Edward county greeting: we command you that attach Sarah Mattews [illegible] of William Mattews died so that you have her body before our Justices of our said county of Prince Edward, at the courthouse, on the third Monday in May. next, to answer us as well of a certain contempt by her to us offered,

as it is said as upon those things which to her shall be then and there objected and further to do and receive what our said Court shall in this part consider, and this you shall in no wise omit, and have then there this writ: Witness Francis Watkins, Clerk of our said Court, at the courthouse, the 21st day of April 1808 in the 32nd year of the Commonwealth.[FWatkins] cc
