The Commonwealth of Virginia to the Marshall of the Staunton Chancery Court, Greeting: You are hereby commanded to summon Nelson Bankson V Janes to appear before the Judge of our Superior Court of Chancery holden at Staunton, on the first day of the next term to answer a bill in a Chancery exhibited against them by Robert Lewis
And this they shall in no wise omit under the penalty of 1001 cents. And have then there this writ. Witness, William S. Eskridge, Clerk of our said Court, at Staunton, the 31st day of Dec 1817 and 42 Year of the Commonwealth Willaim Lstridge NOTE. The Marshall will be kind enough to state particularly the date of the service of this subpoena.
