The Needlework Guild of America Minute Sheet Annual Meeting-March 1959 The Portsmouth Branch of the Needlework Guild of America held its annual meeting March 20, 1959 in the home of Mrs. Kenneth McAlpine, honorary president. Mrs. J. C. Wright presided and opened the meeting with the reading of a poem. There were nine members present. In the absence of the secretary, Mrs. Clyde Rawls, Mrs. Sweeney read the minutes of the 1958 annual meeting and the report of the 1958 Ingathering. The report is duly filed. The treasurer gave the following report: Balance at last annual meeting $141.11 Receipts at Ingathering 76.42 Total receipts $217.53 Disbursements - Janitor at Monumental $2.00 June 19 - Needlework Guild of America (for leaflets) $62.89 Balance March 20, 1959 $154.64 (Corinne J. Sweeney, Treas.) Mrs. Sweeney read a letter concerning the necessity of filing Income Tax Form 990-A with the Director of Internal Revenue.
