and three quarters degr: easterly through James Collins Corn feild two hundred and thirteen chaines to a hicory on Chicahomany River And down the same to the first Cyprusses the Sd land being formerly granted to Richard Williams together with eight hundred more for seaven hundred and fifty acres by patent dated the twenty fourth of January one thousand six hundred fifty five and for want of seating granted to the sd Stephen Cock by Order of the Generall Court the seaventeenth of October one thousand six hundred and ninty the land being due unto the sd Stephen Cock by and for the importacon of twenty one persons into this Colony &c ut in alijs to have and to hold &c. to him the sd Stephen Cock his heyrs & Ass forever &c. to be held &c: yeilding & payeing &c ye fee rent of one shilling for every fifty acres &c Provided &c ut in alijs. Given under my hand & seal of the Colony this twenty ninth day of Aprill in the fifth year of the Reigne of our Soveraign Lord & Lady William & Mary &c. Anoq[ue] Doni 1693 E Andros. For and in Consideracon of seaventy pounds Sterl. which I have received of David Bray I give and grant bargain and sell unto him the sd David Bray all the Land granted me in and by this Patent And doe by thes pnts absolutely assigne the same togeather with all my right title estate claym and demand in this patent and the Lands therin and by granted with all its members and appurtenances according to the limitts and bounds therof here in this pattent sett forth and expressed unto the sd David Bray and his heyrs & Ass forever And I doe hereby binde me and my heyres unto him ye sd David his heyres and Ass generally to Warrant and forever defend the sd Lands prmisses and appurtenances against the clayme or demand of all persons whatsoever. This Indenture made the fifteenth day of October in the year of our Lord God one thousand six hundred ninty and two between John Rix senr of Martin brandon of the one part and Richard Winkles of the same parrish Wittneseth that the sd John Rix for and in consideracon of fifteen thousand pounds of Tobacco in hand payd or secured to be payd hath given alienated granted bargained sold enfeoffed and Confirmed and by thes pnts doth fully clearly and absolutely give grant bargain sell aliene enfeoff and Confirme unto the sd Richard Winkles his heyres and Ass for ever three hundred and seaventy acres of Land scittuate lying and being on the West side of Chipoakes in Martin brandon parrish in Charles Citty County bounded as [the word followeth is struck through] by Patent appeareth bearing date the twentieth of Aprill one thousand six hundred eighty seaven.
