This indenture triparty made the tenth day of ffebruary in the fourth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord and Lady William and Mary by the grace of God over England Scotland France and Ireland King and Queen Defenders of the fayth &c. and in the year of our Lord God one thousand six hundred ninty two. between Ralph Jackson of the one part Joseph Madox on the second part and John Douglas on the third part. Wheras the Rt Honbl Francis Nicholson Esq, their Majties. Lt. Governr of Virga. with the advice of the Councell of State did give and grant unto the sd. Ralph Jackson Joseph Madox and John Douglas and their heyrs for ever a tract of land containing seaven hundred eighty four acres lying and being in the County of Charles Citty and parrish of Bristoll as in and by the Patent therof bearing date att James Citty the 21 day of Aprill 1692 relacon being ther unto had doth and may appear. And wheras the sd parties to thes pnts are come to a Divission of the sd tract of land and have caused the same to be actually severed and divided into three unequall parts by two lines of markt trees which run throw the body of the whole tract, One of which two lines being West four Degrees North the Northern part of the tract from the midle part of the tract. And the other line paralel therto (being of Markt trees) and one hundred poles assunder divides the Midle part from the Southern part of the tract. Now this pnt triparty Indenture Witnesseth and it is heerby Covenanted promised and agreed by and between the parties to these presents for themselves and their heyres that the sd. Northern part of the sd Tract be and is hereby vested in Ralph Jackson who is to have and hold the same soe divided to him his heyres & ass[igns] for ever and is his full part, lott or proportion of the sd tract of seven hundred eighty four acres & is two hundred eighty four acres therof. And that the aforsd Midle part of the tract being two hundred acres shall from henceforth be held deemed and taken by Joseph Maddox and in him vested to have and hold the Midle part of the sd tract soe seperated and divided to him his heyrs & Ass. for ever as his full part lott or proportion of the sd seven hundred eighty four acres. And lastly that the sd Southern most part of the sd Tract being three hundred acres of land be and heerby is vested in John Douglas who henceforth is to have & hold the same soe divided to him his heyrs and Ass as his full part lott and portion of the sd tract of seven hundred eighty four acres. In Wittness wherof the parties to thes pnt have hereunto sett Interchangeably their hands & seales. Ralph [I/J (mark)] Jackson seale Joseph [I/J M (mark)] Maddox seale John Douglas seale Sealed & [Ack?] in pnce [presence] of Thomas Anderson Charles Blanchevill Aprill 13 1693 This day personally appeared in court the above sd Ralph Jackson Joseph Maddox and John Douglas and did mutually and enterchangeably acknowledg this deed each for the other and did the lands therin divided surrender to each other to be held by each of them respectively divided and in severally according to the form and effect of the deed This deed thus acknowledged is heer enroled.
