Tuesday Sept 30 [added later] (1919) Hampton Va - Dear Mrs Valentine, I have not heard one word from Miss Lewis. I will start for Smithfield tomorrow. I will go to Isle of Wight Oct 6 - any way & if any one would go with me from Smithfield it would be nice. Mrs Bosher's meetings are so popular. She would draw, I am sure - We need speakers these days more than ever, as I believe people are at a point ready to listen nowadays - Do you suppose the Williamsburg league could be coaxed to do Denbigh? They are far nearer than I ever am - Of course
