7-29-19 My dear Mrs. Cowles: - Have just arrived here, and phoned Mrs. Clarence Painter, Am waiting to see her now. Had to stop here anyway on way to Hillsville. Literature came all right, and I saw Mrs. Miles, who will try to go to Rocky Mount, Bassett, (Henry Co) and Huddleston. Any of these she can't cover I will go to after returning to Roanoke. She is not entirely sure of herself as she has asthma badly and is also expecting her husband from France any day.
