In the Name of the Commonwealth of Virginia: In the County Court of Lunenburg County. April 8th 1895 Max Meyh an alien, a native of Germany, aged 38 years, a this day declared on oath in Lunenburg County Court, that it is Bona Fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to relinquish and renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to the Emperor of Germany
