The Commonwealth of Virginia To the Sergeant of the Town of Petersburg Greeting You are hereby commanded to take Edward Floyd, if he be found within your bailiwick and him safely keep so that you have his body On the 1st Monday in January next 1837. (that being Rule day at the Clerks Office of our Circuit Superior Court of Law and Chancery for the Town of Petersburg to answer James of a plea of Trespass assault battery and false imprisonment Damage Fifteen Hundred Dollars.
