The Commonwealth of Virginia: To the Sergeant of Town of Petersburg Greeting You are hereby commanded to take David Donnan Sr if he be found within your bailiwick and him safely keep so that you have his body on the 1st Monday in January next 1837 (that being Rule day) at the Clerks Office of our Circuit Superior Court of Law & Chancery for the Town of Petersburg, to answer Jacke of a plea of Trespass, assault, Battery and false imprisonment.
