THE COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA, Sam Carter & Augustus Watson Gentlemen, Justices of the Court of Prince Edward Greeting: KNOW YE, that we, trusting your fidelity and provident circumspection in diligently examining whatsoever Witnesses as well on behalf of Aaron Plffs. and Catherine Baker, Exrx. & John & Andrew Baker Exrs. of Andrew Baker dec'd. defts Command you or any two or more of you, that at such time and place as you shall appoint, you assemble yourselves and the witness aforesaid before you, you call and cause to come and diligently examining on the Holy Evangelists of Almighty God, and their examination aforesaid unto our said Court of P.r Edwd. County distinctly and openly without delay, you send and certify enclosed, returning also to us this writ: Witness Francis Watkins Clerk of our said Court of Prince Edward at the Courthouse, the 22d day of November 1808 in the 33d. year of the Commonwealth.
