The Commonwealth of Virginia to the Sheriff of Montgomery County, GREETING: We command you to summon Henry Carty to appear before the Judge of our Superior court of Montgomery, at the court-house, on this day to testify and the truth to say on behalf of Ruth and her children in a certain matter of controversy depending in our said court between them Pltffs. and James Sallust Defendant And this be shall in no wise omit under penalty of £100.
