In the name of god amen I Hezekeah Pigg of Pittsylvania County tho weak in body yet thro the abundant mercy and goodness of god of a sound and perfect memory do constitute this my last will and testament and desire it to be received as such by all. I give my body to the earth from whence it was taken to be buried in a Christian like manner. I most humbly bequeath my saul [soul] to god who gave it begging his most gracious exceptance of the same. Item I lend unto my well beloved wife Elisabeth the plantation with four hundred acres of land adjoining the same whereon I now live during her widowhood also, Jane, Sarah, [Cigy?], Bell, little Bell, also one black mare and bay Colt, and apacing bay horse, also all the stock of Cattle, sheep and hogs, also the household furniture.
