THE Commonwealth of Virginia to the Sheriff of Franklin county greeting: We command you to summon David Barton John Ferguson, George Ferguson Alexander Ferguson & Jeremiah Puckett to appear before the Justices of our County Court of Montgomery at the courthouse, on the firth day of September court next, to testify and the truth to say in behalf of Nanny Pege & others in a certain matter of controversy, in our said Court, before our said Justices depending and undetermined between them Plaintiffs and John Hook & Zachariah Stanley Defts And this they shall in no wise omit, under the penalty of £100. And have then there this writ: Witness, Charles Taylor Clerk of our said Court, at the courthouse, the 3d day of August 1803 in the 28th year of the Commonwealth.
