FORM OF A DECLARATION TO BE MADE BY A PERSON WHO HAS NEVER BEFORE HAD A LAND WARRANT OR MADE A DECLARATION THEREFOR. STATE OF VIRGINIA, COUNTY OF } SS.

On this [blank] day of [blank] A.D. one thousand eight hundred and fifty [blank], personally appeared before me, a Justice of Peace, within and for the County and State aforesaid. age [blank] years, a resident of [blank] State of Virginia who being duly sworn according to law, declares that he is the identical who was a [blank] in the Company commanded by Captain [Blank] in the [blank] Regiment of Militia, commanded by [blank] in the war with Great Britain, declared by the United States on the 18th day of June 1812, the he enlisted at Isle of Wight County on or about the [blank] day of [blank], A.D. [blank], for the term of [blank] and continued in actual service in said war for the term of [blank] days, and was honorably discharged at [blank] on the [blank] day of [blank] A. D. He makes this declaration for the purpose of obtaining the Bounty Land to which he may be entitled under the act approved March 3d, 1855. He also declares that he has not received a Warrant for Bounty Land under this, or any other act of Congress, nor made any other application therefor [blank] We, [blank] and [blank] residents of [blank] County, in the State of Virginia, upon our oaths, declare that the foregoing declaration was signed and acknowledged by [blank] in our presence, and we believe from appearance and statement of the applicant, that he is the identical person he represents himself to be The foregoing declaration and affidavit were sworn to subscribed before me on the day and year above written; and I certify that I know the affiants to be credible persons; that the claimant is the person he represents himself to be, and that I have no interest in this claim. J.P. KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, That I [blank] of a County of [blank] in the State of Virginia, have constituted and appointed [blank], of said County and State, my true lawful attorney, irrevocably, for me and in my name, to prosecute and receive from the United States the Bounty Land certificate, or warrant, due me under existing laws granting Bounty Lands for services rendered the United States in the different wars, and generally to do all lawful acts and things for me touching the premises, and I hereby confirm all my said attorney shall in my name legally do in the premises.
