The Commonwealth of Virginia to the Sheriff of Bedford County greeting: We command you to summon William Gray Exor of Thomas Haynes Dec'd to appear before our Justices of our Court of our County of Bedford at the Courthouse thereof on the fourth Monday in Novem'r next to answer a bill in Chancery exhibited against him by Sarah, Sam, Harry, Dinah, Isbel, Peter, Ned, George, Rachel, & Mildred over the age of 21 years & James, Hannah, Washington, Flanders, Daniel, Caleb, Ann, Pleasant, Braxton, & Sophia. Infants under the age of 21 by Thomas Logwood their Guardian (Free Negroes) And this he shall in no wise omit under the penalty of £100. and have then there this Writ.
