[Archivist: I just processed another set for this man or at least someone with the same name. The letter after the b in the surname is not written like the "u" after "o" and could be interpreted as a "v". I see some discussion on Ancestry about this name written as Lefebvre in the 1860 census for this guy] In Henrico County Court November 9 1844 Herbert Pierre Lefebure a native of France this day declared on oath that it is bona fide his intention to become a Citizen of the United States and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever and particularly to Louis Phillip King of France.
