I Elias Markens make the following report of myself to the County Court of Henrico in the State of Virginia, that is to say, I report that I was born at Meurs in the Kingdom of Prussia on the 14th of October 1809 being now in my 34th year of age, that I am a subject of the King of Prussia, owing allegiance to that monarch and none other; that I emigrated from Prussia to the United States, in the year 1836, and have lived since that year in the City of Richmond, in one of the United States where I Declared my intention in open court on the 2nd Novbr. 1840 on oath to become a citizen of Virginia. Given under my hand, this 3rd day of July 1843. Elias Markens
