I John Decost make the following report to the worshipfull County Court of of Henrico, that I was born in the Kingdom of Portugal, being a subject to the Queen Donna Maria, emigrated from that Kingdom to the United States in the month of June 1835, being thirty six years of age, and being desirous to become a Citizen of the United States, I hereby declare my intention do so, having been living in the State of Virginia, Since the year eighteen hundred and thirty five given under my hand this [8th?] day of January 1843.
