In Chesterfield County Court August 11th 1825 John Kerr a native of Scotland late a subject of the King of Great Britain, Ireland &c by trade a labourer, personally appeared in Court and declared his intention to become a Citizen of the United States of America; and it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that his is a man of honesty, probity &c. it is ordered that the said declaration be entered of record.
