Virginia At a Quarterly Court continued by adjournment and held for Henrico County at the Courthouse on Wednesday the 9th day of May One thousand eight hundred & thirty eight Quintain Blain, an alien who arrived in the United States in the year 1818 and is desirous of being naturalized a citizen of the United States, this day appeared in court, and in pursuance of the Act of Congress made report of himself-Which report is in the following words. To wit:- "I Quintain Blain make the following report of myself to the County Court of Henrico in the State of Virginia, that is to say, I report that I born in the county of Ayshire, Scotland, in the Kingdom of Great Britain, on the 12th day of May 1792, being now about forty six years old- that I am a subject of the Queen of Great Britain, owing alligiance to that Monarchy and none other-that I migrated from Scotland in the month of November 1817, and arrived in the city of Richmond, State of Virginia, and one of the United States if America on the 4th day of March 1818, and that I now intend to settle in the State of Virginia aforesaid.- Given under my hand this 3rd day of May 1838- Quintain Blain" A Copy Teste. Quintain Blain, a native of Scotland, this day declared on oath that it is bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United State, and to renounce forever, all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever and particularly to Victoria, 1st, Queen of England.
