PENNSYLVANIA. Palmer, Printer, Pottsville, PENNA, Schuylkill County, ss. BE IT REMEMBERED, That at a Court of Common Pleas, held at Orwigsburg, in and for the county of Schuylkill, the twenty third day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty three personally appeared George Garbet before the said court, who upon his solemn Oath did depose and say, that be is a native of England now residing in the county of Schuylkill, aged thirty years, or thereabouts, and that it is bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatsoever, and particularly to the Queen of Great Britain and Ireland of whom he was before a subject. IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my Hand and affixed the Seal of said Court at Orwigsburg, the 23rd day of October in the year of our Lord. one thousand eight hundred and forty three.
