The home tract contains 240 acres, more or less, located on the public road leading through Rock=fish Valley, about six miles south of Afton, a station on the C. & O. R. R., near the foot of the blue ridge mountains, a section already celebrated for its fine fruit. The tract of land is in a high state of cultivation and of special value for agricultural purposes, and admirably adapted to the growth of apples; is well supplies with running water. The improvements consist of a commodious and convenient mansion house; a splendid barn and all other outhouses necessary for a first-class farm --- together with a large Store House for merchandising, equipped with fixtures for running the post office established there. Is convenient to 4 churches and two high schools, and in a fine neighborhood, with climate unsurpassed. It has upon it a very valuable Apple Orchard of 750 bearing trees of Albemarle Pippins and Winesaps;and 100 trees planted two years ago. Will also sell One Hundred Acres of Land on Johnson mountain, a spur of the Blue Ridge, upon which are One thousand Albermarle Pippen and Winesap Apple trees in full bearing. Johnson Mountain is 5 miles south of Afton, and is celebrated as the home of the Goodwin - Scott - Quaintance pippin apple orchard; the MacGregor Orchard; the C. B. Williams orchard, and others. Will also sell a small tract of about 30 acres adjoining the Home tract, upon which is a young orchard of 300 apple trees of select varieties.
