I John Riley in order to become a citizen of the United States, make the following report of myself to the County Court of Norfolk County, Va. I report that I was born in Ireland on the 24th June 1828 being now in the 28th year of my age; that I am a subject of Victoria Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. Owing allegiance to that monarch, and non other; that I migrated from Ireland to the United States in year 1854, and that I intend to settle myself myself in the Town of Portsmouth, in the State of Virginia, one of the United States. Given under by hand this 17 day of November 1856, John Riley his mark X
