I, William Gray, make the following report of my self to the County Court of Norfolk County in the state of Virginia being a court of record, that is to say I report that I was born in the County of Norfolk in that part of Great Brittain called England, on the "[blank]" day of April 1817 being now in the 35th year of my age; that I am a subject of the Queen of England owing allegiance to that monarch And none other that I migrated from the Kingdom of Great Brittain to the United states, in the year 1851 and that I intend to settle myself in the county of Norfolk in the state of Virginia one of the United states. That is is bona fida my intention to be Cime [become] a citizen of the United states, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate state, or Sovereign whatever and particularly to Victoria the first Queen of Great Brittain.
