Clerk's Office of the District Court of the United States for the Eastern District of Virginia. } Be it remembered that John Divany, a native of Ireland this day personally appeared before me P. Mayo, Clerk of the said Court, and made declaration, under oath, that it is bona fide his intention to become a Citizen of the United States, and renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever; and particularly to Victoria Queen of England whereof he the said John Divany is at this time a subject. Done at the said office in the City of Richmond, this 4th day of April 1855 and in the 79th year of the Independence of the United States of America. P.Mayo Clerk of the District. Eastern District of Virginia, to wit: I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy from the Record in my office of John Divany declaration of his intention to become a Citizen of the United States.
