I Peter Cosgrove in order to become a citizen of the United States make the following report of myself - to the court of Hustings for the City of Portsmouth I was born in Ireland on the [blank] day of [blank] 1832 being now in the 38th year of my age, that I am now a subject of the English Government owing allegiance to the Queen of England and none other, that I immigrated from Ireland to the United States on the year 1853 or thereabouts and I intend to settle myself in the City of Portsmouth state of Virginia, one of the United States.
