I, Michael McDonough in order to become a citizen of the United States, make the following report of myself to the Hastings Court of City of Portsmouth I report that I was born in the County Galway Ireland (crossed out: on the) 1832 being now in the 28th year of my age; that I am a subject of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland owing allegiance to that monarch, and none other; that I migrated from Liverpool to the United States in the year 1853, and that I intend to settle myself in the (crossed out: Town) City of Portsmouth, in the State of Virginia, one of the United States.

Given under my hand this 5th day of June, 1860.
