Clerk's Office. Circuit Superior Court of Law and Chancery, Alexandria County, March 31st 1849. This day George Whitemiller (or Weismieller) personally appeared before me in my office and made oath in due form of law that it is bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign prince potentate, state or sovereignty whatever and particularly the sovereignity of the King of Germany, which is recorded and certified.
