Alexandria County, to wit: Theodore Meade and James [Caris?] Citizens of the United States, personally appeared in open court made oath in due form of law, that John Walsh who is about to apply to be Naturalized, has resided in the United States for five years last past, and one year last past within the District of Columbia, without being at any time during the said five years a reside out of the territory of the United States, and that during that time he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same.
