Circuit Court, District of Columbia, COUNTY OF WASHINGTON:

Henry Truman a native of England aged about thirty five years, bearing allegiance to the King of Great Britain and Ireland who emigrated from Liverpool and arrived at Philadelphia on the 21st day of March 1830 and intends to reside within the jurisdiction and under the government of the United States, to wit: at Washington City makes report of himself for NATURALIZATION, and declares oath, in open court, that it is bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States of America, and to renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatsoever, and particularly to the King of Great Britain & Ireland according to the several acts of Congress in such case made and provided.

In Testimony Whereof, I hereto set my hand and affix the Seal of said Court, this 13th day of July, 1837.
