Edward McLaughlin and Thomas Cruse citizens of the United States and Freeholders in the district of Columbia appeared before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace for the County aforesaid, and made oath in due form of law that Edward Sheehy has resided in the United States five years next before this date and one year within the District of Columbia and during that time he the said Edward Sheehy has behaved himself as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the constitution of the United States and well disposed to the good order and happyness of the same- given under my hand this 11th day of July 1824.
