Be it remembered that on the twenty eighth day of July Eighteen hundred and seven, before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the State of Maryland in and for Baltimore County aforesaid personnally appeared Thomas Ruckle of the City of Baltimore, and made oath on the holy Evangely of almighty God that James Piper a native of Ireland was a resident within the limits, and under Jurisdiction of the United States between the eighteenth day of June One thousand seven hundred and ninety eight, and the fourteenth day of April One thousand eight hundred and two, that he has been a resident five years and upwards within, and under the jurisdiction of the United States that during the said term of five years he has behaved as a man of a good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same.
