Horrace Fields appear'd before me the subscriber one of the United States Justice for the County aforesaid and made oath that James Piper has resideed for Five years last past within the U_States of America and one year immediately last past in the District of Columbia and County of Alexandria and that he was residing within the County and under the Jurisdiction of the States between the 18th day of June 1798 and the 14th day of April 1802 during which time he has behaved as a Man of good moral character and attach'd to the principals of the Constitution of the United States and well dispos'd to the good order and happiness of the same, Give under my hand this 20th day of July 1807 A Faw
