Virginia to wit I John Lawson Clerk of the Superior Court held at Dumfries for the District composed of the Counties of Loudoun, Fauquier, Fairfax & Prince William do hereby certify that at a District Court held at Dumfries on the twenty seventh day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & ninety eight, John Kincaid a native of Ireland of the age of Forty five years, of the Town of Alexandria Merchant who has resided in the United States from the month of August in the year 1797. In Open Court Declared, that it was Bona-fide his intention to become a Citizen of the United States and to renounce for ever all Allegiance & Fidelity to any Foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatsoever, particularly that of Great Britain In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the Seal of my office the 9th day of December 1803 in the xxviii year of the Commonwealth J.
