District of Columbia to wit I, George Deneale, Clerk of the United States Circuit Court of the District of Columbia for the County of Alexandria do hereby certify that at a Circuit Court Continued and held for the County aforesaid the Twenty Sixth day of November in the year of our Lord Eighteen Hundred and five Anthonio Correia, a native of Portugal came before the Court and it appearing upon affidavit that he has resided within the United States and sailed from the Town of Alexandria for five years last past and thereupon having taken the oath prescribed by law to support the Constitution of the United States and also made oath that he doth absolutely and entirely abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever and particularly by name the Sovereignty of the King of Portugal and it appearing to the Satisfaction of the Court that during his said residence he has behaved as a man of good moral character attached to the principals of the constitution of the United States and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same is thereupon admitted to become a Citizen of the United States.
