County of Alexandra Sct. Charles Scott and John B. Hancock citizens of the United States appeared before the subscriber a justice of the peace for the county aforesaid and made oath in due form of law that Edward Burchill has resided for the continued term of five years last past within the United State & for one year last past in the District of Columbia and that during that time he has behaved] as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same- given under my hand this first day of October in the year 1832 Adam Lynn
