Virginia, In the Clerk's office of Alexandria County Court, 4th day of October , 1856. Lewis Appich, a native of Hessen-Darmstadt who arrived in this Country in the month of May, 1856, declared, on oath, in said office, that it is bona fide his intention to become a Citizen of the United States, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to the Grand Duke of Hessen-Darmstadt.
