THIS DEED, Made this 18th day of February 1891, between J. F. Bowman and L. C. Bowman, his wife of the County of Augusta in the State of Virginia parties of the first part, and G. M. Brown of the County of Culpeper in the State of Virginia party of the second part, Witnesseth, That in consideration of the sum of Twenty Seven Hundred & fifty dollars, whereof $1033.33/100 has been paid in cash by the said party of the second part to said parties of the first part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged; and the remaining $1716.33/67 whereof to be paid in two equal installments, payable respectively in six and twelve months from the date hereof, with interest from the date hereof, which said deferred installments of purchase money are evidenced by the two bonds of the said G. M. Brown each for the sum of $858 33/100 bearing even date with this deed, payable respectively in six and twelve months from the date of this deed, with interest from the said date to the said J. F. Bowman and the payment of which said bonds is secured by a deed of trust this day executed by the said G. W. Brown to J. A. Wise Trustee, conveying the property hereinafter described; and which said deed of trust shall be deemed and regarded as cotemporaneous in all respects with this deed, and be treated and dealt with as a part of the same transaction; the said parties of the first part do grant, with general warranty, unto the said G. M. Brown all that certain lot or parcel of land situated in Augusta County, Virginia, and described as follows to wit: Lot No. 12 in Block No. 46 as designed in the "Map of the Business Centre of Basic City," recorded in the Clerk's Office of the County Court of Augusta County, in Deed Book No. 109, pages 134 and 135, and also as designed in complete "Map of the Lands of the BASIC CITY MINING, MANUFACTURING AND LAND COMPANY," made by Professor D. C. Humphreys, and to be recorded in the Clerk's Office of the County Court of Augusta County. Also the store house located upon said Lot. Witness the following signature and seal James F.
