The Commonwealth of Virginia To the Sherif of Brunswick County Greeting We command you to Take Samuell Izell if he be found within your Bailiwick and him safely keep so that you have his bod before the Judges of our District held at Brunswick Courthouse on the first Day of the next Court To answer John Izell of a plea of Detinue for a negroe man named Cain of the value of one hundred pounds Damage thirty pounds And have then there this writ witness Harrison Randolph Clerk of our said Court the 6th Day of August 1794 In the 19th year of our Foundation H.
