Brunswick County to wit This is to certify that Theophilus Harrison appeared this first day of October 1792 before me [Jack] Pennington a Justice of Peace for the county of Brunswick aforesaid & undertook for Heartwell Raines in an action of Detinue now depending & undetermined in the District court of Brunswick by Jesse Tucker plaintiff, against the said Raines defendant, that if the said Raines shall be cast in the said suit, he the said Raines will pay & satisfy the Judgement & condemnation of the court of or surrender his boy in execution for the same, or that he the said Theopuilus Harrison will do it for him.
