Abstract

Contains a report of William Randolph, Attorney General, & Barth[olomew] Fowler regarding the petition of Thomas Ward, on behalf of himself and the owners of the Sloop Content. Randolph & Fowler report that a writ of restitution may be issued and the sloop & goods restored to John Holmes as rightful owner. According to the report, Randolph states that he has considered all the proceedings upon the information of Joshua Broadbent, Commander of the Sloop Spiwell [Spywell], against John Holmes, Master of the Sloop Content.
