Abstract

Contains a petition of John Swan, Christopher Jonston, Daniel Hughes, and Samuel Hughes to Governor John Earl of Dumore asking for warrants for one thousand acres each to a parcel of uncultivated land west of the original division line between Virginia and Maryland. According to the petition, the Governor of Maryland granted warrants for the same based on Col. [Thomas] Cresap's subsequent boundry line.
