Abstract

Contains proceedings of a meeting of twenty-five Burgesses assembled by Peyton Randolph as moderator after the unexpected dissolution of the Assembly. According to the proceedings, the remaining Burgesses agreed to write letters to the other colonies acknowledging receipt of the letters & resolutions from Boston. In addition, the Burgesses state that they are of the opinion that an association against importations, and perhaps exportations, will probably be entered into when the Assembly is reconvened on 1 August.
