Contains a petition of Thomas Slaughter, commissioned a colonel of forces from Culpeper County in 1756, to Governor John Earl of Dunmore asking for leave to locate & survey land entitled to him and the other officers who marched to Winchester under his command. The petition includes a list of all the officers under Col. Thomas Slaughter.
