Abstract

Contains a deposition of John Finley of the Province of Pennsylvania before James Patton regarding the conduct of William Russell on 14 & 15 June 1753 at Shenappini Indian Town while negotiating affairs with the Indians relating to the troubles with the French. According to the deposition, Russell was sober the entire time in his company contrary to a report that he was drunk & misbehaved before the Indians in Council.
